Day Thirty-six -
Giru Grass area
Free camping - one night
Fuel - $67.00

We've driven a long way and the kids have been amazing again. We have lunch at Ingham and hit the road again. Townsville was on the list to stop and check out as I've met this lady named Tabitha Jane..... I know right! Who would have thought that there was another lady with the same name.. Love it! I came across Tabitha on social media, who also has a side hustle (different to mine). So we pull up at The Strand and found a nice park for the kids to play at and we just got chatting, it was like we have known each other for years. Thank you, Tabitha, for taking time out of your busy day to catch up in person 💗 We drove a few more Km's and land ourselves at Rockhampton.

Day Thirty-seven -
North Rockhampton - Riverside Tourist Park
$75.00 powered site
683km
Fuel $161.07
Food shop $119.08
Washing and dryer (3 loads) $32

We get in at about 5pm, not leaving us much time to check anything out. They only had an ensuite sight left so we all have a lovely long soak (and by ourselves). I really needed to get the washing up to date. Thankfully these caravan parks have 3 - 4 washing machine and 2 dryers in the laundry's (the dryers hold two loads of washing) so within an hour I've got three loads of washing done and dry, all in about 1.5 hours! The kidlets go and explore (burn some energy) while we get our Caravan back into some sort of order again. In the morning we head off after breakfast and I'm really excited about our next stopover cause we get to chill with Tash and Tim for a few nights.

Day Thirty-eight -
Bundaberg QLD
Population is 100,000
Free camping - 3 nights (aka Tash's and Tim's house)
Fuel - $94.00
322km

On the way, we pull into Mackay to restock on food, water, and fuel. Adam also caught up with an old workmate Rowen, it's been 7 years since they last saw each other (except the good old Facebook) It was a great catch up, we got to meet his two boys Tommy and Robbie. Can't imagine what two boys would be like, my one is enough...

We land in the food bowl (Bundaberg) another thing I love to do (eat) Bundy has these little stores along the side of the roads with fresh produce, and cheap. You can really notice the difference in fruit and veg that's from the grocery store (flavor wise) We spent the first day just catching up and enjoying the great company. The boys have planned to go deep sea fishing tomorrow. Tash was busy in the kitchen cooking an amazing baked dinner for tea (lamb) and it was the best, thanks, Tash.

Day Thirty-nine -
Fishing didn't happen today, the wind picked up a bit, plus it was going to be a better day tomorrow (Plus it was Ivy-Jaye 3rd birthday today) so we all pile into the cars and get the tour around town. They have this amazing park with a small zoo which is free. Very kids friendly, it had Lizards, birds, emu's, wallabies and snakes. We decide to have fresh seafood for lunch so we splurged and got a  Hot and Cold platter (OMG, mouth-watering) Afterwards the boys then checked out the Bundaberg Rum factory. While the girls check out the magnificent view from the lookout. Now when the boys and kids are all sorted and tucked away in bed (finally)

Tash and I get Girl time (mostly planning and organizing our business) Which I LOVE!! How cool is it that our side hustle, that I might spend maybe an hour a day on, has all but funded this trip) A huge peace of mind knowing that I was still going to be getting paid while we travel and work where ever I like around the countryside. Adam has long service leave which is paid but his wage covers our household bills as normal back home. So grateful for the opportunity this has given us as a family cause, I don't know where id been today if I hadn't found these 16 months ago 👐 Happy to share my secret if anyone is interested in making an extra income.

Day Forty -
The weather today is so much better for the Guys to go fishing, they leave at 3.30am (no thanks) This gives us the day to hang out again. We take the kids to a play centre (Chipmunks) have a coffee (pot of Tea for me) Some hot chips for the kids with a side of chocolate milkshakes... Then spent the afternoon back at Tash's house just kicking about, Kids playing on the trampoline and role-playing. The guys get home about 4pm with a lovely stash of fish (Adam was extremely happy) I was worried that he was going to be sick out there but he was good. Adam took travel calm the night before and in the morning as he left. Can't imagine going out to sea 47km and not feeling sick!

Day Forty-one -
Fuel $117.00

We spend the next couple of days just hanging out at the beach and catching up on this dreaded thing called washing!! Overrated... Tim was back at work and we thought we would leave in the morning but the kids were begging us to stay for another night, and cause we have no time framed we did decide to hang out for another night. The thing I really miss is waking up and heading into Tash's house for a morning cup of Tea. We might have to Zoom and have our cuppa on the weekends. This is a beautiful thing about working closely with your team from more than 1200km away. Nothing is impossible!
