...Justin and Kerrie...

Adam first met Justin at work (Lake Cowal) and soon became really good mates. Justin would come to our house for dinner when in town and Adam would go out to dinner with Justin the next night. This went on for a few years. Justin no longer works for the same company which means they don't get at catch up like that anymore. So when we started planning our trip Adam said that he really wanted to visit.. So we locked it in!

They live in the Hinterland on the Sunshine Coast. On an acreage block on top of a hill with magnificent views. Now when I say on a hill, I had no idea the incline was going to be this steap.. as we drive (whilst towing a 27-foot caravan) Adam put the ute into 4WD and I honestly thought that the front wheels of the ute are going to come off the road... Now I trust Adam with my life! But this makes me feel very uneasy! As we get to the top of this 'Hill' Adam comes to a complete stop I jumped out of that ute as fast as my little chunky legs would carry me. Justin comes to greet us and starts assisting Adam with the Caravan.

As I nervously walk down the driveway to say hi to Kerrie (who I've never met before) here she was with open arms and embraced me like one of her own. But also the kids and Adam, we instantly felt right at home.. Thank you so much for having the five of us and also amusing our kids. They really loved you guys 💖Day Forty-Three -

We are heading to the Australian Zoo today. Adam and I had been to the Aussie Zoo about 14 years ago and are looking forward to taking the kids to see what an amazing place Steve Irwin had started and very sadly not been able to see today. The prices for a family pass are great (I think) they have family passes of 2 adults & 2 kids (4) or 2 adults & 3 kids (5) which is gold... cause most places are always family passes are only 4. Anyway, this was $189.00 GREAT VALUE and worth every cent if you can get yourselves there.

For an extra $36.00 you can feed the Giraffes... AMAZING!! This was the best feeling in the world. These animals are massive but so beautiful. The strength was unbelievable.

Time to pack up and leave Justin's and Kerrie's. The boys are in charge of getting this Caravan out of the backyard, I make myself scares while they get the job done 😳 Once we say our goodbyes, we head toward Brissy. We used to live here donkey's years ago (before kidlets) and we want to check out the Yatala Pies. If you haven't been here before I suggest (again) that you try one as you're going past next time, call in and get yourselves a meat pie! They also do cakes and dessert (back in heaven, yummo!)

Now, Emmett is totally in love with Patriot Campers... It must be a boy thing, but he youtube's these every day.

So on his list of things to do while we are away is to call into the head office at the Gold Coast and check out these cool camping trailers in person (and meet Justin) When we finally find the building we get to meet Tommy (Justin was in Melbourne at a trade show) but Tommy was really nice and showed us around the showroom and even gave Emmett some stickers and had a photo. Thanks, Tommy, you have made his day 💪

We arrive at Kirra Tourist park at about 4pm, kids run to the mummies tummy (jumping pillow) and we don't see them for ages. I get three loads of washing done and hung out under our awning. Love the feeling of doing the washing (anyone else feel this way?)
