Lennox Heads was starting to cool down a little, the days are really nice if there wasn't any wind. The nights are great sleeping weather. We are about 500 metres from the beach (So I can still sleep!) The kids loved this park, very spacious and bike friendly. No park to play on, but the office had loads of board games, balls, cards, buckets and spaids for the sand. and Reception was wonderful. Nothing was a bother when the kids went up for stuff. Washing it is (story of my life) $4 per load and I reckon I had four loads to catch up on but didn't use the dryers. The clotheslines next to the washing rooms were in full sun. So I let mother nature do her job.
I really love to walk along the beach and just absorb the ocean breeze and the sound of the crashing waves. So off we toddle, the kids with the buckets and spades from the office and Adam wondering on behind. The kids build sand castles while Adam is being the responsible adult... and I just zone out and walk. Heaps of people walking dogs without leads, the owners throwing balls. It's a really friendly beach and really close to camp.

Byron Bay it is! Byron Bay is about 20-minutes up from Lennox Head and if you want to shop, surf or find a quirky little cafe and sit and watch the people stroll by, then this is the town to do it in.
But first, we check out Byron Bay Light House!! Now it's $8 to get a park if you want to do the walk up and down to the lookout. I reckon they would have about 15 parks, so prepare for a long walk or not to stop at all. A pile of steps, but the view you get, is priceless.
Lunchtime - Adam's mate Jason, told us about this little Mexican shop that has really good Nachos. Now you may already know that I LOVE food, so I've already got the taste for it. The kids get a Taco (choice of Pulled pork, chicken, Beef or pan-fried Fish) 3 for $15 (cheap lunch) Marnie and Emmett get a Beef Taco and Adam a Fish Taco, I get the Nacho's (the best I've had) Adam helps me demolish them (finger licking good) Mine was $18.. but I would have paid $25!!
After lunch, ice cream (not sure about you but I have a dessert stomach) $14 for ice cream. It was so nice and we consumed them whilst sitting on the beach checking other people out (another favourite pass time, People watching)
The afternoon is another lazy one, sitting around the caravan whilst the kidlets ride bikes, and play their IPad's!
Walk time for me, I think I was gone for about an hour. When I get back I was really tired and needed a nanna nap while Adam washes the ute. Now with three kids and a sleeping adult, I wasn't sure how this was going to pan out. When I wake up I can hear Matilda talking to a lady (i instantly freak out) but then realise that she is talking to Grandma (on speaker) Thank god. This is why I don't like having a sleep unless the kids are asleep themselves. I step out of bed and land in Popcorn!! they had helped themselves to and whatever else id missed... I then hear Marnie saying to Emmett "not long now buddy" they had been over to the clothesline and taken all the clothes off the line (and folded them) without prompting...
Not sure about you but a nanna nap always makes me a little cranky, so I do take a little while to freshen up. Adam was back shortly after that and I decide that we are having scabs for dinner.
And tomorrow we move on again. Coffs Harbour, here we come.
